hi guys I'm here for my latest update. Recently I just finished Coney Island and will start introducing it to the market. Also quite recently I received a check for additional recognition from the Recanati Kaplan program- I'm very pleased. Also it's just that time of year for applications to the program and everyone has to do it. Put in my portfolio and I aim to please.Not much I can do now... and before I sign off one last reminder.Joe's next adventure involves traveling overseas thanks to a ticket he won in his cereal box. If you send in a great idea for his destination I will send you a hand signed edition of the latest adventure WITH YOUR COUNTRY IN IT! Awesome right? Hello once again friends. I come with the next Hobo Joe installment- "Joe goes to Coney Island!" Our hero returns to have fun in the sun only to end up dangling from the infamous cyclone... I have a fresh idea, too. In Joe goes to Coney Island he hears about possibly going abroad.. herein lies an interesting and promising adventure. However there are many countries with charm so I'm having a hard time finding the one. Who knows-maybe a world tour.. So here's my offer. If you send in a great idea worth using I will send you a signed edition of it (with your idea too!) Update

Just went to the second annual Community Word Project auction at Bonhams. I created a satisfactory piece (not that happy with it) and still have not received word of how much it finally sold for. On the brighter side, my soccer team, Cheesepuff United just won our first match of the season! Still working on the next Hobo Joe comic about Coney island. Can't tell much else, it's still very hush hush. That's all for now, Nick

Auction Time!

I just received a notification from a friend asking for participation in another Bonhams auction that is coming up in April. I have begun brainstorming a piece to turn in to support the "Community Word Project." Which, for those who haven't heard of it is a non-for profit organization that helps underprivileged schools afford art programs. Once again, my best idea so far will feature another Hobo Joe project. Looking forward to it!

Back in the saddle, Whew!!

Well, here I am (finally) and back in the cartooning saddle. Remember how I said I  had just finished a new comic? Well, drumrollllllll I just finished ANOTHER issue of the extended adventures of Hobo Joe!!! (Will be posting more info soon) yes, the fourth one! (Joe Time Travels see cover below)

Now, down to business, March 4, 2013, I will have a meeting with all my fellow Recanati-Kaplan scholars. It will be a time for us to share our work  and work on goals. Our assignment for this meeting is to assemble 50 copies of a kind of propaganda to advertise our work and give an email or blog. I'm brainstorming pins, OR business cards which are easier to manufacture in bulk. Here for now, but in four days I'm off for Jamaica. Bye for now!!!
